Through the invaluable efforts of Bill Wall, Bill Allcot, John Albanese, Steve Davis, Pernell Morrison and Gio Rescigno, on Tuesday, October 21, Tony Hall was able to operate PS 2651 using its 4 motors, for the first time in 80 years!
"Public Service, Take One," notice holder sought.
We are currently seeking a notice or brochure holder, like the one seen below. As part of the restoration, we are planning on reinstalling 6 of the holders within car 2651, as may be seen in the photo on the right. So far, we have been able to collect 5 of them. WPIX11 transit reporter, Greg Mocker interviewed Tony Hall, Liberty Historic Railway’s William “Captain Bill” McKelvey and Bill Wall of the Shore Line Trolley Museum on Wednesday, December 13. The report aired on each of the news broadcasts later that day.
